| Course Description |
Learn to throw on the potter’s wheel! This class is for those new to pottery or those who need a refresher class. The basics of wheel-thrown pottery will be taught: wedging, centering, pulling, trimming, glazing, and basic studio etiquette. Jenny will share many tricks and secrets to help you enjoy the magic of creating mugs and bowls of your very own. Students will leave the class with the skills to proceed to an intermediate level class or workshop.

| Jenny Dowd grew up in Kansas where she attended Kansas State University to pursue a BFA in ceramics. She later attended the University of Missouri and graduated with a MFA in ceramics and fibers. Currently Jenny is the Administrative Assistant and Volunteer Coordinator at the Art Association. She also teaches beginning and intermediate ceramics classes. www.jennydowd.com |
