Emily Free Wilson earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in ceramics from the University of Wisconsin in 2001. The summer of 2002 took her to the Archie Bray Foundation where she is currently working as the Gallery Director. Emily creates her ceramic art at her home studio in Helena, Montana. Her ceramics are a part of many private collections and can be found in Montana at the Holter Museum of Art in Helena, ARTfusion in Bigfork, Redlodge Clay Center in Redlodge, and the Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis, MN. Emily Free Wilson has been awarded a grant from the Myrna Loy Center and the Montana Arts Council, and was a featured emerging artist in the May 2007 Ceramics Monthly. www.freeceramics.com
Bobby Free was born in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1982. He recently graduated with a BFA from Utah State University in Logan, Utah. He currently resides in Helena, Montana where he is employed as a thrower for his sister, Emily Free Wilson. Together, Bobby, Emily and her husband, Matt, are building a family production business with hopes to grow and produce well designed, handmade objects on a scale beyond the capabilities of the individual studio artist. www.bobbyfree.com |
