| Course Description |
If you are new to clay this is a great opportunity to get your hands dirty and make everything from cups you can drink out of to inventive sculptures. Hand building has endless possibilities for both the beginner and experienced artist. Learn how to utilize various hand tools to create unique vessels, including the slab roller to make plates and vases, molds to make similar styled pieces, or the extruder to create interesting clay on clay textures or tubular tumblers. Instruction is geared toward individual ability and needs.
One 25# bag of clay included with firing, glaze and open studio during duration of class. |

Valerie Seaberg is a multi-media artist, singer, educator and somatic therapist.
She combines a lifetime of art making with fun informative teaching on the art and practice of creativity, ceramics, basketry, book making and a variety of other topics. Her classes integrate experiential, theoretical and body-oriented approaches to assist people in expressing their creative potential.
