Course Description

Explore 2-Dimensional and 3-Dimensional tactile art making. Each session introduces young children to the basic elements of art and design using paint, clay, collage and more! Each session will cover 4 classes of clay hand-building and 2 classes of fine art for small hands. Clay classes will incorporate several hand-building and tool techniques, such as slab, coil, pinch pot, scoring and slip. All supplies and firings included.
Instructor
Tasha Cronk has been living in Jackson for 14 years, and has been working with children throughout the community for most of that time. She has a BA from the University of Massachusetts and has taken several continuing education courses in children’s art education and studio art. Tasha has been teaching for the Art Association since 2002, including numerous outreach classes with a variety of populations, youth summer art camps and afterschool art classes for children of all ages.
