| Course Description |
Students will use their creativity for a variety of functional and decorative ceramic ware using hand building and throwing techniques. The first half of the session will focus on advanced hand-building. The second half students will experience throwing on the potter’s wheel. Finished work will be glaze-
fired or painted with acrylic. All supplies and firings included. |

Tasha Cronk has been living in Jackson for 14 years, and has been working with children throughout the community for most of that time. She has a BA from the University of Massachusetts and has taken several continuing education courses in children’s art education and studio art. Tasha has been teaching for the Art Association since 2002, including numerous outreach classes with a variety of populations, youth summer art camps and afterschool art classes for children of all ages.
Ellie Levins is a Minnesota native, has lived in Jackson for eight years and has a passion for the arts and the outdoors. She has three teaching certifications in Art, Elementary, and English as a Second Language and has been teaching grades K -12 in the Jackson community for five years. This school year Ellie will be teaching for the Art Association, the Journeys School, and with pARTners. When she is not teaching she enjoys making art, cooking, and spending time in the mountains. |
