| Course Description |
Relax and make art with your friends after school with the Art Association! These fun and enriching classes explore a variety of media and disciplines through hands-on art projects. These affordable, age-appropriate classes are designed to encompass artists of all skill levels and experience while enhancing their inherent creativity in visual art. All classes will be taught by Art Association staff, with a focus in the fine arts, including printmaking, drawing, painting, specialized crafts, sculpture and mixed media. Check out monthly themes & instructors at www.artassociation.org. Drop-off time is at 3:30pm with projects starting at 4pm and continuing until pick-up at 5:30pm.
March Kidzart Club - Clay Sampler
(no class March 29)
Come experiment with clay hand-building! We will explore basic ceramic hand-building techniques complete our projects with a final glaze, then make our own colorful air-dry clay to sculpt with and take home.
Instructor
Tasha Cronk has lived in Jackson for over 10 years, and has worked with children in the community, including teaching preschool and for the Art Association's Outreach Education, for most of that time. She has a BA from the University of Massachusetts and has taken many continuing education classes in art and child education. She has taught kids art classes for the Art Association since 2002.
Emily Boespflug is a Sheridan native with a passion for the arts and outdoor activity. She holds a BFA from the University of Wyoming in studio art with a minor in Psychology focused on childhood development. Upon graduating, she continued her interest in Art Therapy providing art opportunities for seniors and the mentally ill through the UW School of nursing. She has been teaching art classes in a variety of media and range of ages for ten years, from toddler handprinting to beginning drawing and painting. Emily currently oversees the Youth Education program. |
