| Course Description |
| From pinholes to cellphones this class will explore all the various processes of making a still image. Each week we will explore a new format of making a photograph from film to digital. Students will learn how to make their own camera, shoot film, create photograms, and explore the ever-evolving digital medium of photography. |
| Instructor |
| Thomas Macker received his MFA from CalArts in Photography and Media. He recently transplanted from Los Angeles, CA where he was working as an artist, curator, editorial photographer, and video journalist/filmmaker. As an artist/curator he has exhibited his work in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and abroad. For WhyTuesday.org, he wrote, shot, directed, and edited for the organization’s website video blog, which was distributed internationally through various web and broadcast outlets including L.A. Observed, The Huffington Post, Rocketboom, LAist, National Journal, Anderson Cooper 360: CNN, Current Issues: Current T.V., and Day to Day: NPR. |
