| Course Description |
| A beginner’s look into glass, this class is designed to provide students with the fundamentals necessary to pursue fused glass projects. In the end, you will make at least three fused and slumped plates. This class will begin with exercises in glass cutting, including straight and curved cuts. Once we have an understanding of the basics we will put our new skills to work designing, cutting and composing the parts necessary to make fused and slumped plates. Discussions and demonstrations will cover the basics of kiln forming, types of glass and mold materials to kilns and firing schedules. No prerequisites, price of class includes $50 worth of materials. Additional glass may be purchased if needed. |
