| Course Description |
The Plein-Air Painters of America’s Workshop and Seminar has been called a “masters class” in identifying the techniques that work for you. In 2010, PAPA is teaming up with the Art Association of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, to host its 12th weeklong Workshop and Seminar painting on-location in the spectacular meadows, valleys, and rivers of the Teton Mountains. Eight PAPA Signature Members will be teaching, doing painting demonstrations in the morning, with participants mentored as they paint in the afternoon. Participants select a different instructor and paint in a different location for each of four days, with a fifth day watching all instructors demonstrate in the morning, followed by one-on-one critiques in the afternoon. Special evening programs make this a total immersion in the joy of responding to the immediacy of the environment and creating paintings that capture the colors, shapes, light, and atmosphere of the moment. Transportation and outdoor painting gear are required for this intermediate to advanced level course in oil and acrylic painting.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations must be made no later than Monday, August 2, 2010. You will receive a $50 refund of the $150 registration fee. Cancellations on Tuesday, August 3, 2010, or thereafter are charged the full tuition fee. There will be no refunds for withdrawals or failure to appear during the workshop. Participants are required to sign a release of liability at Orientation, which provides emergency contact information and the location of lodging. Should the workshop be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, enrollees will receive a full refund of their deposit and/or tuition. We urge participants to purchase refundable airline tickets in the event of workshop cancellation or other unforeseen changes. |
