| Course Description |
| Learn the ancient art of Asian Brush Painting (Sumi-e) by studying “the Four Gentlemen” – bamboo, chrysanthemum, wild orchid, and plum blossom, using ink (sumi), watercolor, bamboo brushes, and rice paper. Kay will show actual examples, have reference material available and demonstrate each subject. Students will practice brushstrokes on newsprint and advance to “completed” paintings on rice paper. |
