| Course Description |
| Capture the expression found in your favorite photographs of a family member, friend or pet. This 2-week class will focus on spontaneity and building confidence in your art skills. We will use acrylics, oil pastel and mixed media on paper as you translate your loved one into a special portrait. No prior experience is needed; the class is taught step by step. Beginner and intermediate artists welcome. |

Lucinda Abbe was born in New York in 1950 and grew up near the beach on Long Island. She has always loved to paint and picked up her first techniques at age 3. After two years at RISD (Rhode Island School of Design), she spent ten years studying and teaching meditation. Eventually, Lucinda's career went back to the arts, with some dance on the side. She moved to Jackson Hole in 1995 and returns to New York annually to spend part of each summer in Montauk.
Lucinda's love of nature, the outdoors and wildlife inform her work. In-between times when change and movement are in the air (movement around a still point) is what inspires her to paint. www.LucindaAbbe.com |
