LIGHTING TECHNIQUES

Taylor Glenn

Course Description
This course is dedicated to the awareness and application of natural and artificial light and introduces students to the concept of using light to enrich and enhance their photographs. Through a series of practical exercises and individualized projects, students will explore the quality and attributes of the natural light found in Teton County in the field as well as artificial indoor lighting with the use of strobes. In addition, students will have the opportunity to learn the cultural and historical significance of the Tetons by drawing comparisons between contemporary and historical artists whose work has gained inspiration from the region’s unique ambience.
