| Course Description |
| Through a combination of lectures, demonstrations, assignments, and critiques, students learn to see photographically through an exploration of the basic tools, techniques and aesthetics of film photography, with an emphasis on creative use of camera controls, exposure, shooting and processing black and white film, while also learning about the history of photography. Students will learn to develop film, make contact sheets, and finally to make prints. This class requires your own manual film camera, 35 mm, 120mm, or 4x5”. |
