If you are completely new to Lightroom, please do not skip Session 1 of this course.
In the digital age of photography it is vital to have an efficient workflow. This twopart course will explore the technical and creative aspects of Adobe Lightroom and provide a fundamental understanding of how to incorporate the software into digital workflow.
Session 1 students will learn the fundamental principles of Lightroom as a catalogue software. Setting up an organized image database is critical to workflow and Lightroom is an important tool in managing that image data. Topics covered will be: Catalogue Creation and Setup, Image Database Structure, RAW Capture and Non Destructive Imaging, Importing Data to Lightroom, and Managing Image Data with the Library Module.
Session 2 will focus on the creative aspects of Adobe Lightroom. Students will work intensely with the Develop module to learn the tools that can take their photography to the next level. Topics covered in this section will be: RAW file processing/toning using the tools of the Develop Module, Outputting images for specific uses, and using the Slideshow and Web Modules to create dynamic presentations.
This course is appropriate for the novice to intermediate photographer who wants to refine their skills in the digital photo realm. It is highly encouraged (but not required) that students take both sections of the course to maximize their skills.
