| Course Description |
| Students will explore the potential of a photographic image using strategies similar to darkroom lab technicians. Learn how to exercise more control or play while editing images. Topics include: layers based editing, understanding histograms, dust spotting, exposure and contrast adjustments, cropping, color adjustment, and resizing or reformatting. This course is offered as a hands-on workshop with a combination of lecture and time behind the computer. |

Thomas Macker received his MFA from CalArts in Photography and Media. He recently transplanted from Los Angeles, CA where he was working as an artist, curator, editorial photographer, and video journalist/filmmaker. As an artist/curator he has exhibited his work in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and abroad. For WhyTuesday.org, he wrote, shot, directed, and edited for the organization’s website video blog, which was distributed internationally through various web and broadcast outlets including L.A.
