BLOCK PRINTING WORKSHOP

Course Description
Known for its expressive power, block printing is the oldest and most simple form of making prints. All aspects of the block printing process are covered in this three-day workshop. This includes drawing on the block, carving your design and printing techniques for making simple black-and-white prints.
This class is open to artists of any level. Student should arrive with sketchbooks and image ideas ready to be translated into block prints.
Instructor

Tom Woodhouse attended the Kendall College of Art and Design and graduated from Antioch College where he studied printmaking. Tom has been teaching art for almost 20 years in Jackson Hole. He has taught every age group in that time, focusing on wood block printmaking, drawing, painting, and sculpture. He has taught for the Art Association of Jackson Hole, the National Museum of Wildlife Art, and Central Wyoming College.
