| Course Description |
| Screenprinting or silkscreen, is one of the most versatile, low-tech and easy printing methods available. Participants will experience a fun-filled, hands-on crash course into the vast potential of the stencil screen print technique. This workshop will cover: a brief history of the media, working with stencils and their benefits, multiple-color registration, keeping a clean work area, conserving ink, trouble-shooting common printing problems. The emphasis will be on the range of possible creative experimentations with the media. We will be using low-grade technology and water-soluble ink and we will also discuss homemade screen construction and set up. |

Jennifer Ghormley is an artist who employs a variety of image and mark-making techniques in order to convey her range of ideas. From drawing to printmaking, photography to stitching, paper to fabric and found objects, Jennifer’s strength lies in her ability to utilize that which is necessary to demonstrate the content of the idea at hand.
