| Course Description |
| Screenprinting or silkscreen, is one of the most versatile, low-tech and easy printing methods available. Participants will experience a fun-filled, hands-on crash course into the vast potential of the stencil screen print technique. This workshop will cover: a brief history of the media, working with stencils and their benefits, multiple-color registration, keeping a clean work area, conserving ink, trouble-shooting common printing problems. The emphasis will be on the range of possible creative experimentations with the media. We will be using low-grade technology and water-soluble ink and we will also discuss homemade screen construction and set up. |

Jennifer Ghormley is an artist who employs a variety of image and mark-making techniques in order to convey her range of ideas.
