| Course Description |
| Wet-carved concrete is a technique used in the Arts & Crafts period and involves carving concrete before it hardens. In this hands on workshop you will work with respected artist Elder Jones to create a planter or small sculpture for your home that is approximately the size of a 5-gallon bucket.
Participants will be able to make and keep a set of the most functional sculpting tools designed by the artist. No power tools, hammers, or chisels are used in the process because the carving is done while the mixture is soft and still curing. The workshop is limited to 8 participants.

| Elder G. Jones is an award-winning artist who carves cement into sculpture, fountains, and public art projects. This Tennessee native, with an education in biology, art and healing, is the nation’s foremost expert in cement carving with over 20 years experience. His work has received national attention on HGTV, Southern Living Magazine, San Francisco Examiner and in two books by Sharri Warner Hunter. He is represented in many fine art galleries including La Mesa Galley in Santa Fe, NM. |
