Photography Internship

The Art Association of Jackson Hole / Jackson Hole Workshops is seeking an energetic person to work as an intern in the photography department. The ideal candidate would have experience in both traditional and digital processes and be comfortable with a range of cameras and formats. In addition to a love of photography, the applicant should have good communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to initiate, oversee, and complete independent projects.

Obligations
The intern will assist with all aspects of the photography workshops including, but not limited to: workshop set up and location scouting, assisting workshop teaching, marketing, and more. He or she will also be required to work one day per week in the photography studio, and will assist with the daily operations of the studio. The candidate must be able to start on or before May 15 and work through August 22. The intern will need to work during all workshops (see attached schedule for exact dates) and one day per week in the photography studio.

Compensation
This position receives no financial compensation, but the intern participates in all workshops and classes, and has free access to the photography studio for his or her own use. Housing should be arranged in advance; we will assist the candidate in finding suitable accommodations, but cannot guarantee it. If the intern chooses to stay in Jackson, the internship may grow into a part time teaching position.

Located in the heart of Jackson Hole, the Art Association is a non-profit art organization that offers hundreds of classes and workshops each year to students of all ages in a wide variety of media. Located in the new Center for the Arts, our new facilities include three gallery spaces, studios for photography, painting, drawing, printmaking, and ceramics.
